1. Acceptance of Terms

By installing, accessing, or using TimeTag ("TimeTag", "we", "our", or "the Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service.

If you do not agree to these Terms, you should not use TimeTag.

2. Description of Service

TimeTag is a Discord bot that allows users to display their local time alongside their Discord nickname.

TimeTag may also provide timezone management, nickname customization, server configuration, administrative tools, and other related functionality.

Features may be added, changed, limited, or removed as the Service develops.

3. Discord

TimeTag is an independent service built using Discord's platform and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Discord Inc.

Users must comply with Discord's applicable Terms of Service and Community Guidelines while using TimeTag.

4. Server Administration

Server administrators are responsible for configuring TimeTag appropriately and granting only the permissions necessary for its operation.

Because TimeTag modifies Discord member nicknames, administrators should understand how the Service operates before enabling it for their server.

5. Removing TimeTag

Before removing TimeTag from a Discord server, server administrators should run:

This allows TimeTag to attempt to restore member nicknames before the bot loses access to the server.

If TimeTag is removed without first being disabled, modified nicknames may remain on the server. TimeTag cannot guarantee that nicknames can be automatically restored after the bot has been removed.

6. Availability

TimeTag is currently under active development.

We aim to provide a reliable service, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free availability.

Maintenance, Discord API limitations, rate limits, outages, software errors, infrastructure failures, or other circumstances may temporarily affect the Service.

7. Acceptable Use

You may not use TimeTag to:

• Violate applicable laws or regulations
• Violate Discord's Terms of Service or policies
• Abuse, exploit, disrupt, or interfere with the Service
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to TimeTag systems or infrastructure
• Intentionally misuse TimeTag to harass or harm others
• Attempt to circumvent technical restrictions or security mechanisms

We reserve the right to restrict access to the Service when reasonably necessary to protect TimeTag, its users, or its infrastructure.

8. User and Server Data

TimeTag processes certain Discord and configuration information in order to provide the Service.

Our collection, use, retention, and deletion of this information are described in theTimeTag Privacy Policy.

9. Free and Future Paid Features

TimeTag currently provides its available features according to the plans offered by the Service.

We may introduce optional paid features or subscription plans in the future.

Pricing, billing, cancellation, refunds, and any additional terms applicable to paid services will be disclosed before users purchase such services.

10. Changes to the Service

TimeTag is actively developed, and functionality may change over time.

We may modify, add, suspend, or discontinue features when necessary for development, security, reliability, compliance, or other operational reasons.

Where practical, significant changes affecting users may be communicated through official TimeTag channels.

11. Disclaimer

TimeTag is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis to the extent permitted by applicable law.

We do not guarantee that the Service will always be available, that every nickname will always update at a particular time, or that the Service will be free from errors or interruptions.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by applicable law, TimeTag and its operators will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or similar damages arising from the use of or inability to use the Service.

This includes issues resulting from nickname changes, service interruptions, data loss, Discord API changes, or other circumstances outside our reasonable control.

Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded.

13. Termination and Restriction

We may suspend or restrict access to TimeTag when necessary to address abuse, security risks, violations of these Terms, or threats to the operation of the Service.

Users and server administrators may stop using TimeTag at any time.

14. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms as TimeTag evolves.

Material changes may be announced through the official TimeTag Discord server or another appropriate official channel.

Continued use of TimeTag after updated Terms take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms to the extent permitted by applicable law.
